Heritage Christian School board members, parents & teachers were extremely pleased with the amount of support received by the public in its 11th annual golf tournament in Keene, NH.
"As a small Christian School here in NH, our budget rides a very thin line" Says Ron Kennedy, Principal of HCS. "The funds raised through this & other fund raisers allow Heritage Christian to weather unexpected costs, invest in improvements & keep our tuition the lowest in the area for a private school." continues Ron.
The tournament was actually in jeopardy of not happening just one month prior. The main organizer was unable to participate at the level they had in the past. The school's parents & general public really stepped up to help Heritage Christian School.
"We are eternally grateful to those who came through & donated their time &/or dollars." says Chris Bernier; school board member & parent of 2 HCS students. "What a Blessing this was from the Lord. We give Him all the Glory. We cannot thank the publc enough. We would have made it finacially without this money, but this allows us to stay focused on improving education vs cutting budgets." Chris continued.
The tournament was scaled down a bit this year due to the last minute-ness of the event. The HCS board members are hoping that this year's event will build momentum to bring the tournament back to the level it was at before.
