Follow on Google News | Caring Has A New Address: Hope Hospice Changes Look and LocationEffective October 1, 2009, Hope Hospice, the area's premier provider of quality, compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness, proudly announces the location of their new look, location, and resources for community education.
By: Kathy Padro, Communications Coordinator The two story office complex, with more parking, easier access and more resources for community education and training, will provide a comfortable environment for those seeking information on hospice services for loved ones or grief support for themselves. The new location is one of many exciting changes taking place along with a fresh new look and logo, a crisp, clean website is easier to navigate and offers a wealth of resources, and new materials reflecting the mission and image of Hope Hospice. In keeping with trends in the medical field, the Hope Hospice quality improvement division has upgraded the health information system with the use of electronic medical records. New work areas will offer nurses, social workers, chaplains, and administrative staff a chance to interact more easily, improving communication, planning, and patient care. It will also provide a larger, more convenient place for training of volunteers, staff, and the medical and caregiving community. Hospice care has come a long way in the past four decades and Hope Hospice has been at the forefront of much of the movement. Recent trends show that many Medicare recipients with advanced illnesses are choosing to remain at home with hospice care instead of going to the hospital and for 30 years, the team at Hope Hospice has enjoyed a stellar reputation in the community. From a dedicated group of seven volunteers in 1980, the staff of Hope Hospice has grown to a team of over 60 highly trained professionals. According to Ms. Meier, “Throughout our growing years, we have kept our eye on one idea: to make our patient’s wishes the cornerstone of our care philosophy. Most of the employees are local residents. It’s not uncommon for nurses to take care of people in their own community. Our RN’s determine how much time they will spend with each individual patient and do not have daily quotas. Ms Meier further states, “The team at Hope Hospice works to affirm life and to help patients live each day to the fullest. Our goal of creating an environment reflecting our core values: specialized, quality care, passion for performance and a deep commitment to our patients and families has come to fruition. We are excited to have the public see our new look and location as it is a direct result of the continued support we receive from the community. We want to thank them for helping us realize this dream.” About Hope Hospice Hope Hospice, a proven leader in hospice care since 1980, provides compassionate care, insight, and guidance as families navigate through the end-of-life process.
