Based on the belief that better leadership can be learned, The Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certificate Program is designed to teach leadership skills to Senior Executives of nonprofit organizations and foundations who want to advance their careers, gain credentials for enhancing their future, and reap the benefits of networking with experts and colleagues in the field. A distinguished group comprising Rutgers faculty members and nationally recognized practitioners conduct in-depth presentations and challenging discussions on a wide-range of topics that include ethics and accountability, nonprofit financial management for CEO’s, the strategic board, executive compensation, assessment and implementation of personal organizational values, and board and staff relationships.
Over a three day period, nonprofit executives are guided through a thorough and engaging curriculum that instructs on strong leadership values through assessments and training in emotional intelligence. Each section of the program is taught by prominent practitioners with field expertise. There is a follow-up session six months later to reinforce and re-evaluate the lessons learned.
