Mrs. Lathen seized the opportunity to use her quiet time while being a mother, working and going to School to write her book E.M.O.T.I.O.N.S. Everyone May Overcome Trials Informs Others Needing Salvation and Subtitled: “A Woman of Wisdom Poetry Collection”.

Every obstacle and hardship Mrs. Lathen has endured came out in this book. She was inspired to write directly from her heart, and touched on real life issues in her poetry. Gloria used experiences from her life as well as people whom are close to her.
