On Saturday evenings now over 2.6 million households will have a new show to watch on television. “The Urban Evolution” is showing the brighter side of the city of Trenton. The show will be seen on the television screens of all of the residents of Mercer County, Delaware Valley, and the Philadelphia area. “The Urban Evolution” is a television show about the City of Trenton. The show will highlight local people, businesses, and events happening within the city. The show will air on television station WMCN on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 8pm on channel 19 for Fios subscribers & 27 for Comcast subscribers;
“The Urban Evolution” television show focuses on the positive happenings within the city. The show is broken down into six segments to provide its’ viewers with a comprehensive view of the city. “This show was developed so that people can see that Trenton is a great city with a lot of positive things going on” says the producer of the show, Kell Ramos. “We felt it was important to change the perception that people have of the city. There are positive people living here making a great impact on the city” says Ramos.
The six segments of the show will spotlight a local artist, a business, a community organization, a musical artist/band, an event, and a live video poll. There will be live coverage of events, interviews with owners of companies and community organizations. The season will be four episodes long and then rerun for a total of twelve show airings.
