Two of the most powerful and well-known women in the charity sector came together to celebrate the launch of this year’s must have Christmas book, ‘People of the Day 4’. The Chief Executives of the Prince’s Trust and Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Martina Milburn and Rosie Barnes, were welcomed by author, Peter Wynter Bee, at the prestigious Guards Museum, Wellington Barracks, London.
Both women have seen their caricatures and profiles appear in Peter’s books together with 200 of the most successful and influential ‘People of the Day’, including Barack Obama, Joanna Lumley, Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
Celebrities now sign the first 10 of the limited edition prints of their caricatures and those on display at the event included Bruce Forsyth, Boris Johnson and Ian Hislop. This is what some of those featured in the book said when they were contacted about their profile and caricature drawing:
“Thank you so much for the fantastic book ... I am honoured to be included.” Bill Bryson
“Good luck with this charming book which supports such a worthwhile charity.” Joanna Lumley
“People like Peter inspire us to make this world better.” Sir James Galway
Peter said: “The party was a huge success and has spurred me to carry on. Unfortunately Twiggy, Rory Bremner and Bill Bryson were unable to attend (Bill had to pick his son up from the airport) but it was great that Rosie and Martina came along to support us. Kira Morgan, wife of Charles Morgan of the Morgan Motor Co, also attended and purchased the No 1 limited edition print of her husband. Our annual books and prints truly make ideal Christmas presents and my aim is to make history and knock ‘The Guinness Book of Records’ off of this year’s Christmas Books No 1 spot.”

‘People of the Day 4’ is priced at £7.99 and is available from all online book retailers, high street bookshops or directly from the publisher.

Notes to Editors:
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK’s only national charity dealing with all aspects of Cystic Fibrosis (CF). It funds research to treat and cure CF and aims to ensure appropriate clinical care and support for people suffering from the disease.
CF is the UK’s most common life-threatening inherited disease. It is caused by a single faulty gene. The internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, become clogged with thick sticky mucus resulting in chronic infections and inflammation in the lungs and difficulty with digesting food.
Each week five babies are born with CF and three young people die. Around half of the CF population can expect to live over 35 years, although improvements in treatments mean a baby born today is expected to live even longer.

About People of the Day
People of the Day Limited is an independent publishing company set up by the author, Peter Wynter Bee, to help raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Peter, a lawyer for over 20 years, is now Managing Director of a mining company. As a teenager he started collecting prints of the ‘Spy’ caricatures which originally appeared in the ‘Men of the Day’ series in Vanity Fair (1869 to 1914), logging the lives of eminent people of the time. Peter’s long cherished dream is to produce (like the original ‘Spy’, Sir Leslie Ward) a modern day record of our times for generations to come, inspiring others to greater things as they read what those featured in ‘People of the Day’ have achieved. All profits from the sale of the books and limited edition caricature prints go to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The brilliant caricatures are the work of Peter’s cousin, Lucy, daughter of broadcaster and writer, Kenneth Robinson.
