Follow on Google News | Underdog Zingerdoodle Vying to Win $100,000 for the ASPCARescued Lake Elsinore Pup Frances, Flaunts Her Stuff for Philanthropy
By: Samantha Franklin One unique little CDC entrant in particular, is showcasing her magnificent wooly face for philanthropy. Frances, a rescued Zingerdoodle (Shih Tzu / Springerdoodle mix) from Lake Elsinore, California is vying to win the prize money for the ASPCA. If the photogenic Frances takes the grand prize, her family will donate $100,000 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. “Frances had a very rough go of it for the first part of her life,” states Frances’ owner. “When we adopted her from the Riverside County Animal Shelter, her front teeth had been knocked out and she was so timid and scared. It would be a real honor to be able to help other at risk animals just like her.” Frances' plight to win donation money for the ASPCA recently caught the attention of NY radio DJ Rich Russo, host of 101.9 RXP's eclectic Anything Anything show. Russo rallied listeners to throw their online voting support behind this little underdog and her cause. Frances is making headway, but is still facing plenty of stiff competition in this 9th week of the 12-week contest. Interested online voters can find Frances' special voting page at http://www.tinyurl.com/ The weekly competitions end each Saturday at midnight and the grand prize winning dog will be selected this upcoming Thanksgiving from 12 semi-finalists. ASPCA donations can be made by contacting (800) 628-0028 or online at http://www.aspca.org/ End
