Petoto.com Launches as a Free Information Resource for Cats, Dogs and Other Pets

Petoto.com (http://petoto.com) is pleased to announce the launch of its new website. Current and planned features on the site include: information on cats and dogs adoption, pet guides (http://petoto.com/pet-guides), veterinarian directory and advice on kittens and puppies, free to be shared and enhanced by its users. Petoto.com also functions as a pet social networking community for pet owners and friends. Most of the information on Petoto.com is submitted and maintained by its users.

We are all pet lovers at Petoto.com, but we realize we don’t know everything there is to know about cats, dogs and other pets, which is why we’ve allowed users the ability to edit and add information for the benefit of other pet owners,” said Jim Hunter, Chief Operating Officer of Petoto.com.

Petoto.com provides many different ways for users to share information and the love for their pets. For instance, users on Petoto.com can discuss flea control for dogs on the dog forum or post comments on cats and dogs Frontline (http://petoto.com/new-dog-supply-needs) flea and tick products on their blog. Petoto.com’s goal is to provide a good mix of content types for users to collectively compile the most useful pet information on the internet but also allow users to individually express themselves and their pets. To accomplish this goal, Petoto allows all users to create and edit dog breeds, cat breeds, directory items and pet guides in the same fashion as a wiki. Other content types such as user profiles, pet profiles, blog postings, forum posts and pet articles can only be edited by the user which originally created the content.
