First CCTV Software to Integrate Video Analytics with Nvidia Cuda

PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 30, 2009 – EyeSoft, Bikal’s flagship product is a software surveillance platform designed to record and broadcast live video from IP and traditional analogue CCTV cameras. The software supports most video formats including MJPEG, MPEG4 and can accelerate H.264 video with Nvidia’s PureVideo technology found on more recent releases of their graphics cards.

However, the true innovation in EyeSoft is how the software utilises the Nvidia Cuda graphics platform to offload processing from the computers CPU to the graphics card GPU resulting in faster processing of information and reduced hardware costs.

EyeSoft features advanced video analytics algorithms, a process of analysing video for specific events such as suspicious behaviour, illegal crossing or parking, loitering, object detection, object counting, cash fraud to detecting smoke & fire in real time. Video analytics can consume large amounts of processing power resulting in the need for more expensive equipment and slower processing of information.
