President and executive producer of Pavaline Studios Marc Dahan has spearheaded the studio’s first production. Alienated, starring Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos) and Louis Vanaria (A Bronx Tale) is a short film about a hit man (Pastore) and his fear of extraterrestrial entities interfering in his personal life. Alienated was selected from Pavaline’s short script competition and the winning writers (Charles Disney and Lee Barron) were flown to New York to participate in the production of the shoot. The film was directed by Paul Borghese. The writers had the opportunity to work with Vincent Pastore and Paul Borghese on new ideas and rewrites doing rehearsal time at Shetler Studios in New York City before the actual shoot. “It was unbelievable to see a full film crew make our script into a movie. It is what I dreamt would happen one day,” says Charles Disney.
Although Pavaline is excited about finding the right screenplays to produce, they are equally excited about their distribution department that will distribute features through VOD. Daniel Wuthrich, former executive director of distribution for Disney in Europe is Vice President of Acquisition and Distribution at Pavaline Studios. “Distributing great content will be one of Pavaline’s priority goals,” says Wuthrich.
Viewers will be able to watch the short film Alienated as an opening for paid downloadable feature films that will be distributed. Also, Alienated is coming to a festival near you soon!
