Free Movie Screening of BORDER
(HOUSTON, TX – September 29, 2009) Houston area residents are invited to a free screening of the award-winning documentary “BORDER,” Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Alamo Draft House Cinema, adjacent to West Hills Mall. This RSVP/limited seating event is a public service hosted by Natalie Arceneaux, civic leader and host of The Civil Right on 1070 KNTH.
BORDER Director Chris Burgard will be at the screening, along with Rusty Fleming, Executive Producer of Drug Wars, former Border Patrol Agent Ignacio “Nacho” Ramos, and several of the Texas Chapter Minuteman Civil Defense Corps.
“We’re so fortunate that Chris would step up with a film like BORDER,“ said Natalie Arceneaux, “With President Obama pushing for sweeping immigration reform in 2010, it’s practically imperative that all adults see it.”
BORDER takes an impartial look at the agonizing and complex issue of the southern U.S. border – and explains how we got where we are. New taxes to cover massive expansion of social services, radical healthcare reform, and an increasingly violent narco-war with Mexican drug cartels makes BORDER a must see.
