CHARLOTTE, N.C. – With more than two million unemployed in California, and less than 10 percent of Christian churches providing any career ministry support, the need to make a difference is great. To help California churches establish and maintain a Christian-based, job search and career transition ministry, Crossroads Career Network is partnering with Crown Financial Ministries, Career Transition Ministries Network and Christian Coach Academy in a one-day workshop.
Organized by Career Transition Ministries Network, the conference will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at New Covenant Community Church in Fresno, California. Church pastors and leaders from all denominations in California are welcome. New Covenant Community Church is located at 1744 E Nees Avenue, Fresno, CA 93720.
Brian Ray, Crossroads Career Network founder, will share the best practices for implementing and enhancing a career ministry in your church. Attendees will engage in group discussions to help learn how to apply these best practices so job seekers can discover a new job or career that complements their God-given talents and skills.
For $38, participants attending the one-day workshop receive lunch and several career ministry resources – a trial membership to Crossroads Career Network, the ground-breaking book - The Christian’s Career Journey: Finding the Job God Designed for You, templates on how to launch a successful career ministry in your church, eight PowerPoint presentations and networking opportunities with career ministry leaders.
