Follow on Google News | Come Out for the Lisa Nelson Celebration of Life FundraiserSunday, October 4th from 12 to 4pm at Murdy Park, parents from Hope View Elementary School along with many others from the community, are throwing a Barbecue in the Park Fundraiser to help raise money for the care of Lisa Nelson’s son Max.
By: Marisa Campbell The event will be picnic style and guests are encouraged to bring their blankets and chairs. Local fireman will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs sponsored by Mahé. Other food items will also be on sale, including water and soda sponsored by Tolly Incorporated, Dippin’ Dots, cotton candy and popcorn. There will also be activities for children, such as face painting, bounce house and carnival games. Purrfectly Pampered Massage will be on hand for relaxing massages as well. Other fun activities include a ladder truck from Murdy Fire Station, raffle and silent auction. The silent auction has sparked the support of many Southern California companies and families. Authentic full-size helmed signed by Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Keith Rivers and Mark Sanchez USC game football signed by Head Coach Pete Carroll and their last three Heisman Trophy Winners (Carson Palmer, Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart) USC mini helmet & NFL Game Ball signed by Keyshawn Johnson Carson Palmer autographed football Matt Cassel autographed football The goal of the Memorial Fund is not only to help the Nelson Family with immediate expenses and to get them back on their feet, but also to make sure Lisa's beloved son Max is taken care of now and well into his future.
