Daszkal Bolton named one of the Best Accounting Firms to Work For

Daszkal Bolton LLP, a certified public accounting firm headquartered in Boca Raton, FL, has been named one of the 2009 Best Accounting Firms to Work For – for the second year in a row! The annual list of “Best Accounting Firms” was created by Accounting Today and Best Companies Group.

“We thank all of our associates for their consistent demonstration of commitment, dedication, skill, enthusiasm and talent. We know that they are the cornerstone of our success and hope that our benefits and culture adequately show our sincere appreciation,” said Managing Partner Michael Daszkal.

This survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in the accounting industry, benefiting the nation’s economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Accounting Firms to Work for list is made up of a total of 100 companies, split into three groups: 20 small-sized companies, 65 medium-sized companies and 15 large-sized companies. Daszkal Bolton is proud to be named one of the top 65 mid-sized accounting firms in the country.

Daszkal Bolton’s Corporate Communications Director, Rebecca Fieler, explained: “What makes an accounting firm a great employer? Is it exceptional benefits? Flex time? Opportunities for advancement? The tactics that generate success vary from firm to firm; however, one value underlies them all – a genuine “people-first” attitude. This accolade was not based solely on marketing efforts as many other awards often are. Companies from across the country entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Accounting Firms to Work For. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The results were then analyzed and categorized in eight areas:

  --- Role satisfaction
  --- Work environment
  --- Relationship with supervisor
  --- Training and development
  --- Pay and benefits
  --- Overall engagement

Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. The final ranking will be released in December.
