IntertechPira has announced the agenda for the new global event dedicated to strategic issues faced by pigments developers, manufacturers and users.
The Future of Pigments will be hosted in the Hamburg Marriott, Hamburg, Germany on
3 - 5 November 2009. Chaired by Dr Fritz Brenzikofer, Bremaco GmbH, and Paul Czornij, BASF this event will examine crucial industry matters such as environmental considerations, regulations, novel and emerging applications, technological advances and the latest market trends.
Head of Events at IntertechPira, Ciaran Little, explains: ‘IntertechPira have organised thirteen highly successful pigments events in the past. We wanted to reinvent our annual event and bring the industry a fresh model appealing to the global audience. The Future of Pigments brings together all key players in the industry to look at what the future holds for this sector.’
The conference will be preceded with a pre-conference workshop led by the well-known expert in the field, Jack Ladson of COLOR SCIENCE CONSULTANCY. It will be devoted to colour supply chain management and will discuss topics such as cost and time reduction, testing and colour matching and colour control.
The conference will kick off with a market overview from speakers from ARTIKOL and WEST MICHINGAN UNIVERSITY. Key pigment markets by geography will be analysed by managing directors of BREMACO and HEUBACH. DUPONT and DOMINION COLOUR CORPORATION will discuss future environmental considerations for the pigments industry, followed by presentations focussed on the regulatory landscape from CIBA EXPERT SERVICES and REACH CHEMADVICE. The first conference day will finish with three talks from SUN CHEMICALS, ECKART and RADIANT COLOR examining key pigment markets by type.
On the second day of the conference, PPG INDUSTIRES, BASF AG, SILBERLINE MANUFACTURING and a cosmetics manufacturer will debate the most recent developments in applications and end uses of pigments. JDSU FLEX PRODUCTS will talk about the use of effect pigments in security applications. Finally, the latest technological advances will be analysed by experts from EVONIK DEGUSSA, F.LLS MARIS, BYK ALTANA and CLARIANT PRODUKTE.
The Future of Pigments is proving to be the most notable event of the year with more than 60 attendees already confirmed at this stage and over 100 expected. Attending this conference will give an opportunity to network with leading industry players like Akzo Nobel, Huntsman, Merck, Milliken and Rockwood Pigments.
