NPSA Workshop to Highlight Blast-Resistant Portable Storage

PR Log (Press Release) – Sep 29, 2009 – KANSAS CITY, MO.  – The National Portable Storage Association (NPSA) has announced Casey Vornauf of A Box 4 U will present a workshop about blast-resistant containers at its 7th Annual Conference and Exposition at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from October 25-27, 2009.

"A Box 4 U is a leader in the field of blast-resistant and portable storage units," said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director the NPSA, a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the advancement of the portable storage industry. "The company specializes in providing portable storage units to refineries and subcontractors working within the refineries in the petrochemical and construction industries. This workshop will offer unique insights into what's possible with blast-resistant portable storage."

Blast-resistant portable storage units play a key role in preserving lives and valuable equipment in the oil and gas industry. Although the overpressure from a blast wave is typically the most damaging in an accidental explosion, fires, projectiles and ground shocks can also damage buildings and their contents, according to the Society of Civil Engineers.

Vornauf will discuss how engineered personnel and storage blast-resistant modules can be designed to meet specific needs with configurations for controlled entry point offices, equipment and sensitive substance storage, restrooms, and numerous other applications. A Box 4 U has worked with clients such as Conoco Phillips, ExxonMobil, Eastman Chemical and many others. Now, the company will share its knowledge with NPSA conference attendees.
