Actor Michael Madsen, best know for his cinematic roles in Reservoir Dogs, Donnie Brasco, Kill Bill I & II and most recently in Tarantino’s biker film Hell Ride, has joined this year’s Love Ride 26 http://www.loveride.org/
After the ride Michael Madsen will be signing copies of his new book American Badass http://www.13handsonline.com/
Madsen commented on his involvement in this year's Love Ride, " I'm really looking forward to riding the Gent bike down to Pomona, especially because it's something to do with charity. Any kids with disabilities deserve all the help that they can get, and if all I have to do is ride a motorcycle down the road, I would do it every day. I'm honored to join the event and would ask everyone to remember that all of our kids need as much help as they can get from us, the adults, who inherited a great life from those who came before us, and we need to pass it on. Autisum, polio, muscular dystrophy, disconnected families, orphans and all of the plagues that affect innocent lives, need funding for a resolve."
THE CHARITIES BENEFITING FROM THIS YEAR'S RIDE ARE:
- Autism Speaks
- Reading by 9 (an L.A. Times sponsored literacy initiative benefiting local schools)
- The Muscular Dystrophy Association
- Optimist Family Youth Homes
- Diabetes Institute for Immunology and Transplantation at the University of Minnesota
- Providence St. Josephs Foundation
- Glendale College Foundation
- Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Los Angeles
- Children's Hospital of Los Angeles Frostig Ctr.
- Scleroderma
