HPG Celebrates 25th Anniversary by Giving Back in Numbers of 25

Hughes Pittman & Gupton is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the community, by giving back in ways that characterize the number 25.

Sept. 28, 2009 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, N.C. —Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (www.hpg.com), the largest CPA firm headquartered and staffed in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina, is closing out its yearlong 25th anniversary celebration by giving back to the community in ways that characterize the number 25 to reflect the company's quarter-century of service.

"We realize that the best way to celebrate our 25 years of service and our sincere appreciation is to go back into the community and serve others."

HPG's 25th year in business is coming to a close at the end of September 2009. During the past year, the firm has selected various organizations throughout the Triangle area to donate their time, skills, and resources, as well as events to participate in.

To date, HPG members have given back to the community in the following ways:
•   More than 25 HPG employees participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
•   HPG sponsored an employee for Walk MS, hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society; employees also gave 25 hours of accounting assistance by counting receipts.
•   For 25 days, employees collected food and supplies for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
•   During one work day, 25 employees worked on a Habitat for Humanity project.
•   Members of HPG teamed up with a Cub Scout project to contribute to a beautification project at a local school.
•   At the Raleigh Food Bank, each HPG partner selected 25 clients who received soup gifts, and an equal amount went to the Food Bank. In total, 1,200 portions of soup were donated.
•   HPG matched partner contributions for 25 children at the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
•   A total of 25 backpacks, Christmas stockings and toys were contributed to children at Raleigh Gardens.
