The anchor is custom designed for each load condition and is typically composed of high-strength carbon fiber combined with the Tyfo® epoxy. Advanced composite anchors composed of glass, aramid and even hybrid systems have also been developed.
Using this connector, structural components can be tied together so as to resist forces in any direction. The connector also increases the apparent ductility of the structure such that failure, should it occur, is gradual instead of sudden and catastrophic.
The Tyfo® Fibrwrap® Anchors have been used on many projects and provide a much less invasive structural solution when compared to conventional anchoring schemes.
