First Utility hit the headlines recently when it launched the UK's cheapest dual fuel tariff. British Gas responded by offering £30 cashback for takers of its Websaver 4 but with that offer no longer available, Scottish Power claims title of the cheapest of the big six.
Scottish Power has joined the fray by relaunching its online energy saver 7 tariff which promises to be the cheapest out of the big six and is lagging behind only First Utility. No doubt there will be a further energy price cuts as the suppliers aim not to be left behind.
Online Energy Saver 7 has a average price of £975 which is great for consumers wishing to save money over the coming months, now that the winter nights are drawing in, energy use is set to increase.
Savvy savers will be aware that this is the right time to move to a cheaper tariff if they have already still not done so. Customer's who are on any standard tariff with their current supplier and not paying by direct debit stand to make around £350 on their energy bills.
