PR Log (Press Release) –
Sep 29, 2009 – Fourth time up the aisle, an 84 year-old woman in America, has made the headlines. She told a reporter her first husband was a banker, when she was in her 20's. Her second husband was a circus ringmaster in her 40’s, while her third husband in her 60’s, was a preacher. Now in her mid 80's she has married a funeral director.
With the words from a 1955 Elvis Presley song, ‘Blue Suede Shoes ‘she joked with the interviewer, “I married one for the money.... two for the show.... three to get ready..... and four to go"! Across the ocean, in London, an 84 year old billionaire had divorced his 23 year-old wife for a younger 22 year-old version. Joe Hardy and Kristin Georgi, a manicurist, were only married for 107 days. During the marriage Georgi received many expensive gifts, including an $80,000 Porsche, outrageously expensive shoes, handbags and designer clothes. "He would tell me, 'If you see something you like, get four or five of them'. I couldn't do that,'" Georgi said. “When you climb on your own jet for the 10th time in four days -- Europe was crazy -- and we were in each place for a day and a half,” Georgi said. “It was a bit too fast-paced for me." Georgi said Hardy was not what she had hoped for. Georgi had hoped the 84 year-old would ‘settle down’, instead he just wanted to keep on the go. The couple met while Georgi was working at Hardy’s Nemacol in Woodlands Resort spa and divorced because of irreconcilable differences. However George believes she has been suitably compensated by the size of the divorce settlement, even though the pre-nup agreement limited Georgi’s post-marriage payout. Georgi plans to disclose in her book whether the marriage was consummated or not. Immediately following the divorce, Hardy was romantically linked to another 22 year-old, Dunbar’s Danielle Golden.
