2-U-NEEK performs Thursday, October 1, 2009 in Hollywood

Sept. 27, 2009 - PRLog -- Pop/R&B singing/songwriting/acting duo 2-U-NEEK (twins Ashley and Ashton) will be performing from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m./PT Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Hear NoHo monthly event in the NoHo Arts District. 2-U-NEEK will perform at the Hows' Loading Dock stage.

The Texas natives are the first in a long list of talented acts that includes Brandon Schott, IFE, John Torres, Paris Carney and Still Waters Run Deep. These acts, and more, will be performing on four difference stages throughout the event that ends at 10:00 p.m./PT.

2-U-NEEK will be performing original material from their 2008 debut CD “The Birth,” as well as cover songs for a tribute to Michael Jackson/Jackson 5. The duo will also give out a few prizes.

The twins wrote/produced a commercal jingle (and starred in the tax service commercal) for a Texas based company; they performed as opening act at five dates of the Raven Symone’ Six Flags tour this summer in California and Texas; they perform in the Disney “Let it Go” music video with Mitchel Musso and Tiffany Thorton for the Disney film “Hatching Pete,” and Ashley appeared on Disney XD’s Zeke and Luther television series, as well as Spy Kids.

Signed to Zire Records the twins are always performing somewhere. The label encourages school officials to stop by  meet and preview 2-U-Neek for their schools possible placement in the Pop/R&B duo’s 2009 “Choice –n- Dreams: Motivational” school tour and other projects.

Their 2008 debut “The Birth” (at iTunes and BestBuy.com) received a Grammy Award entry. Even before they graduated from high school the twins had appeared on BET’s 106 and Park and on The Jimmy Kimmel Show (he coined the phrase “the Texas twins”). 2-U-Neek just recently performed at the Celebrity Center in Hollywood.

Admission to the Hear NoHo concert(s) at 5300 Lankershim (North Hollywood, CA 91601) is free until 6:30 p.m. when admission will be $10 per person. There will be free parking off Weddington.
