FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Sep 27, 2009 – Although there must be dozens of new websites entering cyberspace daily across the world, I was quite impatient to explore a new, Sri Lankan website that I learnt of just recently.   Hoping that I wouldn’t be disappointed, I was most pleasantly surprised when I visited www.books.lk.  Browsing in a new bookshop is always an enjoyable experience and an online bookstore is no different, with the added convenience of being able to do so from the comfort of your home or office. With little time for shopping, especially when parking problems and traffic congestion are such deterrents, I find this aspect a great advantage.
As an avid book lover, I am always looking for a great read and so I spent much more time than I anticipated just browsing through the many titles available on the website.  I am sure other book lovers all over the island will enjoy looking through the wide choice.  A very welcome feature is that payments are made in local currency, even if you pay by credit card.   Being very cautious about parting with my credit card details and any payments online, I was reassured by their secure payment methods and pleased to discover that I could order books by making a physical payment to a bank account too.  Good news indeed in this country where credit cards are not as widely used as elsewhere.
The website is very attractively designed with a clean and clear look and feel to it.  It is user friendly too with easy navigation for visitors to find their way around.  The best features are that ordering a book and making payments are so easy to do and that delivery is free within Colombo.  With its novel payment methods and a wide selection of books set to get even wider, www.books.lk is definitely a website I will be bookmarking!
