Career ReBoot Camp Prepares Job-seekers for the New World of Work.
Innovative career management tips from 30 of the nation’s top career experts.
SAN FRANCISCO Sept. 26 The world of work has changed dramatically in the past two years. What worked before won’t work now. As a result, the recently unemployed are often frustrated and bewildered about how to effectively look for a job in the tightest job market in more than 70 years.
Job-seekers need to re-invent themselves and learn how to look for a job in the new world of work.
The Career ReBoot Camp (October 26-27 in San Rafael, CA) includes more than 30 of the top career experts in the U.S. sharing their secrets to finding a job fast. Every aspect of successful job-hunting and career management are addressed at the event.
Many of the speakers will unveil innovative job-search techniques.
A featured speaker at the event is Dr. Lynn Joseph, creator of The Job-Loss Recovery Program Guide: The Ultimate Visualization System for Landing a Great Job Now. The award-winning program is based upon Dr. Joseph’s ground-breaking research study of job-seekers who used her techniques. In the study, after two months 62% of the guided imagery group had landed jobs compared with only 12% of the control group.
The study was published in the Consulting Psychology Journal, a peer-reviewed Journal of the American Psychological Association---
Another innovative program was developed by Yves Lermusi, CEO of Checkster.com. The Talent Checkup is an innovative online system job-seekers can utilize to report obtain confidential feedback on work performance from peers and colleagues. It’s an analysis tool similar to corporate 360 evaluations. When competing for a job, a positive report can make the difference in landing the job or not.
Grammy-nominated musician Freddy Ravel, a member of the Carlos Santana band, has created a unique program called Tune Up to Success! It utilizes the power of music to empower focus and successful thinking.
Lori Ruff and Mike O’Neill from Integrated Alliances are Linkedin and social media experts who will demonstrate how to use these new tools to create a powerful online network---a key ingredient in finding a job.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the average job-search is now nearly half a year long (25.1 weeks). For some professions, like marketing, it is much longer.
The longer a job-seeker is out of work the harder it is to find a job. The Career ReBoot Camp is designed to get people back to work fast with the tools, resources and guidance they need to get up to speed with their job search.
Cost for the 2-day conference is $249 (tax deductible) and includes breakfasts, a wine and cheese reception, parking and approximately $200 worth of books and CDs. To register go to www.CareerReBootCamp.com.
