Forney Sports Center Celebrates Grand Opening

PR Log (Press Release) – Sep 25, 2009 – FORNEY, TX – Forney Sports Center (FSC), owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Ramin and Valerie Gilani, announces a community celebration for the facility’s grand opening on Saturday, October 3. The Honorable Darren Rozell, Mayor of Forney, will preside over the official ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and other city officials will participate in the exciting launch.

The community is encouraged to stop by to see the new facility and meet the staff. FSC is located at 12950 FM 1641. The facility will be filled with an amazing array of demonstrations, samplings, tours and other festive activities from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Activities will include giveaways, contests, the Dallas Mavericks’ ManiAAC dancers, Mavs Man, face painting, cotton candy and DJ, to name a few.

“It is a dream come true,” said Ramin Gilani. “I built this place with my own kids in mind. I will operate it with safety as my top priority.”

FSC is a uniquely designed indoor sports facility dedicated to providing kids with an environment to participate in healthy and safe activities. The facility brings an unequaled set of features and amenities to Forney and surrounding communities.

“We will host local, regional and national events which in turn will provide the City with a wonderful attraction that brings kids, parents, coaches and officials into the City, making a positive economic impact,” said Mr. Gilani. “This is a significant investment in the future development of the community not only economically, but socially and athletically as well.”

FSC will be the home of the Stallions Basketball Association, a non-profit youth organization that focuses on player development and life skills. The facility will also feature leagues for youth and adult basketball, volleyball, soccer, table tennis, as well as camps and tournaments.

“Dedicated to enrich the lives of children and families, FSC will serve our community’s youth today and for years to come,” said Valerie Gilani. “And that’s something really special and to be proud of.”

League play at the complex will start on October 4.
