Valencell will be showcasing its Healthset® technology which tracks heart rate, metabolic rate (calories burned) and aerobic fitness, through audio earbuds, such as wireless mobile phone headsets, to provide more seamless ways to track fitness and performance. Users simply put on the Healthset® enabled wireless headset, go about their daily routine, makes calls, enjoy music, and exercise while Healthset® technologies capture their metrics. Data is sent wirelessly to devices, such as mobile phones, and websites, where fitness assessments such as heart rate history, calories burned, distance traveled, aerobic fitness and other assessments are enjoyed.

The October 19, 2009 CES i-Stage competition gives a preview to the hottest of the hot new consumer products. According to their website, i-Stage is the proving ground for next generation technologies – a chance for developing products, services and applications to show off their selling points and duke it out for the title of most promising powerhouse. For 2009, there are 11 finalists out of hundreds of international applicants. The top prize is $40,000 and a debut at the annual January International CES event in Las Vegas.
