Mikron launches EnergyCore™ Window System

The breakthrough replacement window system is perhaps the most important vinyl window innovation in years, designed to help window manufacturers gain market share with a patent-pending, Fusion Insulated System™ that delivers superior thermal performance compared to fiberglass, rigid PVC and wood frame materials.

Many believe there have been few major innovations in vinyl windows in the past several years. How EnergyCore works
The EnergyCore window system offers a complete line of replacement window styles and accessory profiles, which will attract more energy and design-conscious consumers. The EnergyCore Fusion Insulated System utilizes an innovative air-cell insulating core designed to create a superior-performing thermal barrier, and features a tri-extrusion manufacturing process. Unlike manually foam-filled processes, the new tri-extrusion technology ensures frame profiles are fully insulated using material that is corner weldable and 100 percent recyclable.

The EnergyCore window system delivers superior energy performance through a combination of this engineered core material with superior K-value thermal conductivity resistance, and thermally-optimized profile designs.  Importantly, the EnergyCore window system accepts wider, high-performance triple glazing systems, such as those that use Duralite warm-edge spacers by Truseal, to deliver superior full window U-factor and R-value performance.

Designed for reduced air-infiltration, EnergyCore products also feature an attractive choice of exterior colors incorporating Mikron’s unique, new SuperCapSR™ heat-reflective, superior durability color technology.  The system also features Simulated Divided Lite (SDL) and trim options to fit a variety of regional architectural design styles, and premium interior woodgrain laminate finishes including Natural Maple, Light Oak, Medium Oak and Cherry.
