Manheim Auctions continues investment at Colchester

Sept. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- The multi-million pound investment by Manheim Auctions at its 50 acre, 4 auction lane Colchester site continues with the start of the next phase of the redevelopment project. This phase will result in the undercover viewing area being nearly doubled to accommodate more than 1,000 cars and vans. This building project is expected to be completed in the early part of 2010.

This enabled a covered viewing area to be introduced and a dedicated inspection bay for 60 vehicles to be built. However the most significant phase of this redevelopment project was the opening of Europe’s first and still only, 4-lane auction centre in November 2007. Manheim Auctions Colchester is, by some considerable way, Europe’s largest auction centre and can offer up to 170,000 vehicles for sale every year.
