New Powerhouse emerges in wind energy Industry

PR Log (Press Release) – Oct 01, 2009 – Jennings O’ Donovan consulting engineers and LotusWorks, engineering service providers, today formally launched “WindPM”, a partnership which combines their respective strengths into a strategic alliance that will provide “one stop shop” solutions to the wind energy industry.

WindPM, a commercially focused partnership will deliver a comprehensive suite of services to the wind energy marketplace, from feasibility stage, through construction to operation & maintenance. This WindPM alliance offers Wind farm owners and developers, the opportunity to work with a single provider from the wind farm concept through to final completion and operational stage

In combining Jennings O’ Donovan’s extensive wind energy planning and consulting expertise with LotusWorks significant energy related project and construction management capabilities, this new partnership “WindPM” is well positioned to target wind energy development projects domestically and internationally.

Speaking from the IWEA Conference in a joint statement Conor McCarthy and Tom Cafferkey, the respective Directors of Jennings O’ Donovan and  LotusWorks stated ” We believe the comprehensive wind services and expertise offered by WindPM benefits wind farm developers & owners as they can avail of a trusted, commercially focused  provider for all their consulting and technical needs as they undertake their wind project”.

Despite the economic downturn the EU wind energy market is experiencing a 1% growth on 2008. The EWEA  reported that 8,600 MW of new wind energy capacity will be installed in the EU-27 in 2009, taking the EU’s cumulative installed capacity to 73,535 MW. It is clear that wind energy is the number one choice in efforts to move towards clean renewable power now and into the future. For those developers and owners with plans to design and develop wind farms in 2010, WindPM have a firm focus on realising projects with higher returns, reduced risk and long term operational success.
