Washington, DC – The National Association of Professional Organizers, Washington, DC – Metro Chapter (NAPO-WDC), the premier resource in the DC Metro area for organizing professionals, will host the 11th annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Professional Organizers (MARCPO) on Saturday, October 17, 2009. The event will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel & Executive Meeting Seminar Center in Bethesda, Maryland. The day-long event titled, "Broadening Your Vision: Expand. Exceed. Excel.," will feature several well recognized speakers and strong educational programming geared toward both new and expert organizers.
MARCPO 2009 will begin with Opening Keynote Speaker, author, TV host, and entrepreneur, Krista Green. Krista was named by Calgary Inc. magazine as one of their “Top 40 Under 40” outstanding young business professionals. A Silver Leaf Member of Professional Organizers in Canada (POC) for 7 years, Krista was a POC National Board Member (Director of Marketing & Brand Development)
Those in attendance will have a choice of several concurrent sessions following the opening keynote address. The topics of discussion will offer those interested in becoming a professional organizer more insight into the industry and provide current organizers with the opportunity to potentially earn CPO® credits. These topics include "Marketing That Matters: Lessons from a Puffin" presented by Dr. Meggin McIntosh, also known as the “The Ph.D. of Productivity,”™
Julie Morgenstern, New York Times best-selling author and renowned organizing and time management expert will conclude the event with her closing keynote presentation, "Embracing the Times: Finding Opportunity in the New Economy." As a speaker, media expert and corporate spokesperson, Julie is known for her passionate, articulate style and warm sense of humor. She is renowned for an “inside-out”
