Expert I/O 1000
Dajac Inc., a leader in PC based automation, today announced its latest PC based automation control module, the Expert I/O 1000, has been named a finalist in the 2009 Design News Golden Mousetrap contest. Design News is a leading technical publication and resource for design engineers. The Golden Mousetrap award recognizes engineering innovation and creativity in product design.

The Expert I/O 1000 is a USB connected data acquisition (DAQ)/control module. It incorporates many I/O functions: 16 digital inputs, 16 digital outputs (3.3V-27V push/pull), 2 analog outputs (6 selectable ranges each), 6 analog inputs and 2 brush DC motor controllers with integrated amplifiers. In addition to these I/O functions, it contains 2KB of user accessible nonvolatile memory. All this is incorporated in a compact 6.125" x 3.375" x 2.25" enclosure.
For more than two decades, the Design News Awards Program has recognized engineering innovation and creativity in product design. This year, Golden Mousetrap awards were given in four major categories: Electronics, Motion Control/Automation, Hardware/Software, Materials/Fastening/
