2009 Honda Fit
Two of Honda’s most popular cars are on the 2009 10 Best Cars List; the Honda Accord and the Honda Fit. The Accord has been on the 10 Best Cars list before and just shows the ability to evolve as time does.
The Honda Accord has gone through seven generations until it became what it is today in the coupe and sedan lineup. In comparison to the 2008 model, the Accord sedan has expanded into a larger car category. Bigger is better in the people’s view and the increase in size hasn’t changed the satisfaction of driving an Accord. The Accord has had ongoing success in all seven of their generations as Honda has never felt the need to change the models brand name in 34 years. The Accord has also won 23 awards of the 10Best Cars in the past 27 years. The other 10Best accomplishment is the Honda Fit. The Honda Fit has been around since its premiere in 2001.
The Fit was long overdue for a make-over and received it in the new 2009 model. Renovations include a longer wheelbase, larger in size, and more hp with the same fuel economy. Honda has also added an adjustable steering wheel and a new navigational system option. The Fit also ranks at the top of the econo-car charts for fuel economy, which makes this car a clear winner for the 10Best. The new 2009 Fit has a better combo of space, fuel economy, and practicality.
