Dom DeLuise and Deren Abram were longtime friends and collaborated on several projects, including this one, entitled According to Dom, that is premiering in Los Angeles at the Valley Film Festival on October 4.
Deren Abram, the film’s Director who recently moved his family to Denver Colorado, was a regular at the casual lunches that Dom would have at his house. “Somebody would always stop in for lunch. It was just casual... but terrific”, says Abram. Somebody usually refers to Hollywood legends like Burt Reynolds, Charles Durning, Dick Van Patten, or even the hottest young comedians like Roastmaster Jeffrey Ross and David DeLuise (Dom’s youngest son and Selena Gomez’s co-star of Wizards of Waverly Place), all of whom are in this endearing and entertaining 45-minute movie that goes way beyond the typical documentary. These 'Hollywood Greats' entertain and reveal great some of the greatest stories, jokes, music and songs. In fact, it’s often more like an impromptu variety show right inside Dom’s kitchen.
According to Dom officially comes out on DVD in November, although Abram is beginning to sell them on his own website now at www.filmpharm.com
