The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester Introduces Total Sparkling Wine Experience for the Senses

PR Log (Press Release) – Sep 22, 2009 – The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester, the county’s premier hotel, is introducing a sparkling wine experience for the senses this September with nightly tastings in the Lounge and a special “Fall Into Radiance” grape facial treatment at the Ritz-Carlton Spa.

Mark your calendars now because every night in September will feature different sparkling wines by the glass from the best producers in Champagne, France and California for tasting at the comfortably elegant Ritz-Carlton Lounge.

The Lounge also offers a delectable array of small plate menu items such as a shrimp trio, charcuterie plate, cheese selection, tuna tempura, and avocado hand rolls; complete meals like a grilled chicken cobb salad, black angus burger, turkey club or roasted red pepper Panini.  Desserts including chocolate fondue, a brownie sundae, or coco crème brulee .

After tantalizing your taste buds with the newest wines of the season, you’ll also want to let your skin drink in the grapes with the new “Fall Into Radiance” facial featuring a red wine extract to help correct sun damage and fight premature aging.  The extract contains resveratrol, a nutritional supplement produced by grapes. It also acts as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory agent, and helps to shield UVB radiation.

Following a cleansing with aloe or chamomile creams, toning with rose geranium plant mist, and lymphatic stimulation, the therapist prepares a facial sauna and applies the red wine mask for three to five minutes to allow its healing properties to reach the inner layers of the skin.   Following the mask removal, the guest relaxes with a soothing facial massage, treatment serums and a hand and foot massage.  A hydrating moisturizer completes the treatment.
