Please mark your calendar's for HorseAbility’s “Believe and Achieve" Gala to be held on Friday, October 30, 2009.  HorseAbility, a 501(c)(3) non-profit based out of Melville, is the only Premier NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Associated) Accredited Center on Long Island.  The event will celebrate the organization’s 17th year of serving an intrinsic mission of offering a wide range of horse-related programs to children, teens, adults and families with special needs, promoting their physical, psychological, emotional, social and spiritual well being.

The mission of the Gala is to strengthen and support the foundation of HorseAbility so it can continue to serve its clients, maintain and expand the facility and remain a leader in the field for years to come.  The event will extend special recognition of the many individuals, corporations and organizations that have helped HorseAbility help those with special needs.

This year HorseAbility is proud to acknowledge the following individuals as Honorees:

•   Dr. Christopher (Kit) Miller, Miller & Associates, North Salem
•   Shanette Barth Cohen, Executive Director, Hampton Classic Horse Show, Bridgehampton, NY
•   Dr. Jodi Knott, Knott Chiropractic, West Hills, NY
•   The Ladas-Economou Family, Christina Ladas Design & ARETE Group, Inc., Muttontown, NY

The aforementioned have played an intricate role in ensuring that the overall well-being of HorseAbility’s programming and horses are sustained and cared for.  Their kindness and generosity has awarded the organization the ability to keep its mission alive.

You can help make the event a success by becoming an Advocate and helping to raise $1,700 which signifies HorseAbility’s 17th anniversary or donating goods or services for our Gala raffle and/or auction.  Advertising in our Gala journal is another way to help support the organization, while benefiting from reaching an extended audience.  Help us publicize your special honor by telling friends and colleagues about the work of the HorseAbility and how you are helping. Invite them to help, too.  All gifts are tax deductible and HorseAbility will recognize all donors in the evening’s program.  Details on the levels of sponsorship are available on our website or in our office (631)367-1646, we welcome all inquiries.  Tickets are $150 per Adult and $75 per child under 12.  Tables of ten are $1,500 (a table of twelve can be requested).

With your generosity we are able to achieve our goals and guarantee the future of HorseAbility. Thank you kindly in advance for your support and for helping us share the gift of horses, because riding is for everyone.
