| | Safety Training Video Company, CLMI, provides Hearing Conservation Training
| Minneapolis firm prepared to help businesses with updated OSHA hearing conservation standard. |
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) –
Sep 22, 2009 – To assist the nearly seven million employers covered by the updated U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Hearing Conservation Standard and its significant training and recordkeeping requirements, Minneapolis- based CLMI Safety Training is prepared to provide valuable assistance through its new OSHA compliance training program, “Hearing Conservation: What…?!”.
CLMI’s new Telly Award winning safety training program presents a lively, fast-paced discussion of the OSHA Hearing Conservation requirements and what we can do to protect our hearing. Users are provided practical information using engaging video techniques.
“Hearing loss is a major public health issue that ranks third in line after arthritis and heart disease as one of the most common physical conditions? Baby boomers are starting to lose hearing from loud work environments,” CLMI President Rick Pollock, CSP, said today. “This problem is compounded by noise exposure from the rock concerts they went to when they were young. Did you know that 36 million people in the U.S. have a hearing loss, and that at age 65, one out of three people has a hearing loss? And our population is aging.
“As people start to lose hearing they look around at their coworkers, colleagues, friends and family and feel uncomfortable talking about having difficulty hearing because they think they are the only one with this problem,” Pollock continued.

Pollock noted that ““Hearing Conservation: What…?!” would be a good addition to a company’s safety training library “This high-quality training program is another in the line of CLMI’s award-winning series, Blueprints for Safety®,” said Pollock.
