Calgary, Alberta – CAPAPA (Canadian Association of Professional Access and Privacy Administrators)
Connexions events are designed to facilitate networking and increased knowledge about access and privacy issues. “Understanding your right to access government-held information is a fundamental aspect of our democratic society,” said Sharon Polsky, National Chair of CAPAPA. “Connexions are excellent opportunities for members and invited guests from coast to coast to better understand their rights and responsibilities when it comes to information access.”
CAPAPA is proud to have the support and participation of representatives from the Offices of Information and Privacy Commissioners and other important organizations.
Events being held in major centers across Canada include tours, discussions and special presentations featuring speakers from the Canadian Bar Association Access and Privacy Section, Field Law LLP, Provincial Archives of Alberta, the City of Toronto, Dalhousie University, Right to Know Coalition of Nova Scotia, Memorial University, Camouflage Software, and Informatica Corporation.
