"Weight Loss Challenge" in Lake Worth

Sherry Ryals has launched a 12-week nonprofit “Weight Loss Challenge” that begins Friday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. or Saturday, October 10 at 3:00 p.m. at the Stayin Alive Fitness Center on the SW corner of Jog and Lantana Road.  The program offers a valid, results oriented, easy weight loss solution and long-term weight loss success program, including information on nutritional health, energy and exercise.  You may also visit her website at www.livebetterhealthandwellness.com or www.WLCNow.com.

No specific program is required. Participants can be on Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Herbalife, or a customized plan of their own. Recommendations will be available from the wellness coaches.

Participants will weigh in each week and be measured (the 1st, 6th and 12th week) and at the end of the challenge. The top three losers (Winners) are based on percentage of body weight lost, will share the pot.  The more participants, the bigger the pot, so invite your friends.

There is a onetime registration fee of $39 of which $25 goes into the pot to be shared by the three “Biggest Losers;”  $10 will be donated to the Go Fit Kids Foundation in support of Children with Obesity; and $4 will cover administrative costs.  During the 12 weeks, materials will be supplied and Cash Prizes will be awarded.  

The program encourages people to lose weight and inches by eating a healthy level of protein and calories each day. It also points out the benefits of good nutrition and exercise to achieve their weight loss and health goals. The 12-week course makes people feel accountable, but also is meant to be a fun way to get in better shape, have group support and a personal health and wellness coach.  The health and wellness nutrition coaches, Sherry Ryals, Pilar Wood, Maritza Pareves, and Sally Martinez are local residents fighting the Obesity epidemic in our neighborhoods and communities.
