The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation, Office of the Medical Advisor, Medical Quality Review Selection, has asked Dr. Andre Broussard to once again be on their Medical Quality Review Panel.
Dr. Broussard's job on this panel is as a peer reviewer. This means that he assesses the care provided by to patients by other physicians in the Workers' Compensation system.
When requested to comment on a case, Dr. Broussard will assess the quality of the physician's decision-making, the appropriate evaluation of the treating doctor’s diagnosis and reasonableness of the health care provided/requested.
He also provides the Medical Advisor with an analysis of utilization patterns and compliance with Division adopted treatment and return-to-work guidelines.
Dr. Broussard has been serving on this panel since 2005.
Dr. Broussard practices chiropractic and acupuncture Lubbock, Texas, and has been serving the West Texas community for 20 years. His interests include non-surgical treatment for neck pain, severe headaches, back pain and herniated discs. He also focuses on nutritional intervention for regaining and maintaining health.
