The Jetter Gear GS3 Dual Overdrive has been awarded a Premier Gear Award in Premier Guitar's October issue.
The Premier Gear Award is an honor bestowed upon a piece of gear—whether guitar, amp, effect, or other gear— that has been extraordinary enough to impress the staff of Premier Guitar. Despite the high quality of all gear reviewed by Premier Guitar, only exemplary items earn the award.
“Most distortions color your sound,” says Premier Guitar reviewer Michael Ross, “But the GS3 offers a choice of transparency or many colors, and is one of the most versatile, natural, and flat-out terrific sounding overdrive devices I have ever heard.” Premier Guitar awarded the GS3 a rating of 5.0, the highest possible rating. “The GS3 had two specific design goals,” says founder Brad Jeter. “The first was to offer a unique third foot switch that acts as a master on/off. This deceptively simple arrangement offers a new level of flexibility to the guitarist in a single, compact overdrive pedal. The second goal was to design two independent channels that offer the broadest tonal possibilities whether run independently or cascaded.”
“At Premier Guitar we want our reviews to focus on premier instruments and equipment for discerning gearheads, professional players and tone chasers, so we're always on the lookout for the best guitars and gear we can get our hands on,” says Chris Burgess, Editor-in-Chief for Premier Guitar. “Occasionally, our reviewers come across something that positively distinguishes itself from the rest.”
