The Corner Bar of Rockford is hosting a hot dog eating contest at this year’s Comstock ’09 in downtown Comstock Park Michigan on Saturday, September 26 from 3:00 – 3:45 p.m.
Twelve pre-registered contestants will have 10 minutes to gulp down as many of the famous Corner Bar hot dogs as possible. The entry fees for the contest will be donated to charity and all contestants will receive a free t-shirt and all the hot dogs they can eat in 10 minutes. First place prize will be a 42” LG flat screen television, second place prize will be $150 cash and the third place winner will receive a $50 Corner Bar gift card.

Former amateur champions Sharon VanDuinen, who consumed 42 ½ hot dogs in 1982 and Belinda Gould who finally beat VanDuinen’s long standing record in 2005 by scarfing a record 43 hot dogs will be on hand to emcee and to sign autographs and more importantly…
Any contestant eating more than 12 hot dogs will automatically get a plaque with their name on the coveted “Hot Dog Hall of Fame” wall in the historic Corner Bar in Rockford.
