PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 18, 2009 -
In central-north India, residents of Bundlekand region today, are in the era of misery. If they will not be taken out of this adversity then that day is not far when they can adopt Naxalite stand. Apart from the Central and State Governments, nature is also playing the game of hide and seek with these poor souls of Bundelkhand. Drought affected from last five years, this sector is having pitiful position of agriculture  this year. Above all, the lack of industries in the region is resulting into increase in migration rates of the people. Here in metropolitan cities, workers are badly exploited by starvation however nearly half of the people are migrating to cities with life saving attitude. Despite of endless efforts, lakhs of workers are able exodus. Last Saturday, Rural Development Minister of State Sh. Pradeep Jain tried to motivate villagers leaving for Delhi, not to leave Bundelkhand and assured them that soon some helpful steps would be taken but people with lost hope did not understand. Added to this a laborer named Govindas from Teekamgarh said that they will die of hunger if they would wait for any support from the government. This means that workers have no confidence on the government. The people once “zamindars”  are now struggling for bread. Their boys and girls are unemployed and hence facing problem in getting married. Due to own aristocracy these people wouldn’t go out for labour and will remain confined at homes. These people in adversity blame the government and nature at times. Still there is no way out to feed their hungry stomach. Last week’s case of sold women came in the media, which come here to the country as a matter of fact.

On this reference, Sanjay Pandey the national convener of  Bundelkhand Akikrit Party said that, if this stands for long time and the governments will not take any effective steps then the atmosphere of chaos will be soon witnessed, people will fight for 10-20 rupees. Without any hope from government, people are becoming violent  and getting badly frustrated. If they don’t find a way for living then possibly they may revolt and become naxals.
