Toronto, Canada – GAO Tek Inc. (www.GAOTek.com) has released its handheld super signal level meter for CATV signal measurement and spectrum analysis. The cost-efficient meter is widely used and favored by professionals in the CATV industry. It offers two frequency ranges, 46MHz to 870MHz and 5MHz to 870MHz, for selection.
The signal level meter, model GAO1185B, effectively tests analog channels, digital channels (QAM) and FM channels with high accuracy. It features quick charging, automatic testing, data logging and an interface to a PC or an external printer. The signal level meter provides flexible operation by measuring and displaying the amplitude of a signal at a specific frequency defined by a user.  In LEVEL and SPECTRUM test modes, the meter offers a peak-hold function for level measurement, so that it can detect occasional disturbance efficiently and accurately. Moreover, the signal level meter is able to conduct FCC standard limit testing and transmission and reflection characteristic testing. The level meter supports return path measurements.
