SPARTA, NJ - Americans spent $33.9 billion out-of-pocket on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) over 12 months, according to a 2007 government survey. CAM is a group of diverse medical and health care systems, practices, and products such as herbal supplements, meditation, chiropractic, and acupuncture that are not generally considered to be part of conventional medicine. This shift may cause a large ripple effect throughout the health care system, making it necessary for all aspects of health care to change with the movement in order to continue practicing successfully."
The Holistic Mentorship Network will host it first discussion meeting at the Kinnelon Library on September 23, from 7pm till 9pm. Susannah will facilitating the discussion.
