ERA Advantage Realty Contributes to the $800,000 ERA Real Estate Raised to Fight Muscular Dystrophy

Sept. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- Representatives from ERA Franchise Systems LLC, based in Parsippany, N.J., presented checks totaling $800,000 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association during its 44th annual Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon, Sept. 6-7.

The contribution represents the year round fundraising efforts of the entire network of ERA Real Estate franchisees, including ERA Advantage Realty, on behalf of MDA. During the entertaining, inspiring and often emotional 21 1/2-hour broadcast, the checks were delivered to MDA National Chairman and Telethon star Jerry Lewis and his co-hosts by ERA Real Estate representative, Mark D’Andrea, senior director of marketing, ERA Franchise Systems LLC.

"Thanks to the continued support of the ERA® network, we’re moving ever closer to developing effective treatments and finding cures, while we’re delivering vital assistance like medical clinics and summer camp," Lewis said. ERA Real Estate has been an MDA national sponsor for 32 years. The ERA network and customers have raised funds for the Association through their "Home in on a Cure" promotional program, as well as through the MDA Bowlathons held locally by ERA Advantage Realty every May and June in Bluefield and Beckley

MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
