Aimed at sailors seeking adventure in quiet but exceptional cruising grounds, the 7 night flotilla will depart from the British Virgin Islands with an experienced lead yacht and embark on a wonderful voyage through the Spanish Virgin Islands off the beautiful Eastern end of Puerto Rico – just a day sail away from the BVI. Ideal for sailors who want to ‘sail back in time’ discovering new and seldom visited sailing grounds, the flotilla will visit a variety of irresistible islands with crystal clear waters, friendly locals and rich in charm.

Consisting of a myriad of islands, including Vieques, Culebra and La Cordillera, Culebra’s outlying cays, there is plenty to see and do. There are abundant snorkeling and diving opportunities. Culebrita has a mile long reef extending south east and snorkelers can explore the coral outcrops just off the white sand beaches. La Cordillera is a 12 mile chain of cays and reefs forming Puerto Rico’s East coast marine reserve. Diving expeditions can be executed by dinghy and the painted drop offs are iridescent in the morning on Eastern shores and warmly illuminated in the afternoon on Western dive sites.

There is also the Culebra National Wildlife Refuge which protects large seabird colonies amongst its 23 cays as well as the bioluminescent bays of Vieques, famous for its night time underwater light shows!
