PRLog (Press Release) - Sep 17, 2009 -
What are the underlying causes of Islamic extremism?  Has America's Global War on Terrorism been an effective response, or simply fanned the flames of hatred?  What if America's enemies conspired to draw us into another debilitating war, this time with Iran?
"The Sword of the Prophet" raises all of these questions, and more, as it follows Martin McCrary, an aging legend of the CIA's Clandestine Service, as he renews his relationship with  Fatima Lavasani, a Persian woman trapped in a forced marriage with a senior officer of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.  Martin and Fatima are caught up in events beyond their control as they struggle to survive a terrorist plot that carries them from New Orleans to Vienna, Tehran and the Caucasus.
Set against the backdrop of America's complicated relationship with the Muslim World, the continuing threat of terrorism and the lingering wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, "The Sword of the Prophet" raises timely questions about America's role in the world and the foreign policy challenges faced by the Obama administration.
"The Sword of the Prophet" is Mr. Otts' first novel and is now available on Amazon.com at https:/www.createspace.com/3391823.
