At 9am on October 13, 2009, the bidding will begin for Women At Risk’s Second Annual On-Line Auction. All proceeds will directly impact WAR's ability to achieve its mission: to enhance the lives of women at high risk for and with breast cancer through research, education and support.
Women At Risk is NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center's premier breast cancer program. For the past 18 years, Women At Risk has improved the quality of care available to women in the New York Metropolitan Area through groundbreaking research, education and support programs. These programs offer new insight into risk factors for breast cancer, combat financial and cultural barriers that inhibit early detection of the disease, and educate and support countless women undergoing treatment, or at high risk, for breast cancer.
The on-line auction is hosted by CMarket and through their database reaches over 60,000 households throughout the world. This year’s expanded auction includes: bags from Tory Burch, Rebecca Minkoff and Lauren Merkin, cashmere from White + Warren, Bloomingdale's gift cards, VIP tickets to Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, tickets to everything from the New Jersey Nets to the Yankees and next year's US Open and much more.
