Carle Place, NY — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and LL Dent Restaurant is doing its part to raise awareness about this disease. From October 1 to October 15, LL Dent is offering a prix fixe menu, with all proceeds benefiting the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program. The cost is $25.95 each.
Chef Leisa Dent has created a menu offering a variety of healthy dishes, including beet salad, grilled salmon, white beans with tomato basil and stewed cabbage, with ginger spice cookies for dessert.
LL Dent has previously offered its generous support of the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program. In February, the restaurant hosted “Healthy Cooking with a Southern Flair,” in which Ms. Dent performed a cooking demonstration for 40 breast cancer survivors as part of a “Path to Wellness” event offered by the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program.
“We are proud to present this special menu, which not only offers a wide array of healthy dishes, but the finest Southern-style food to be served here on Long Island,” Ms. Dent said. “We are pleased to work once again with the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program in raising awareness about breast cancer and how we can fight this disease.”
