Special Guest: Dr. Shireen Lewis, is the Executive Director of the Washington D.C. nonprofit, EduSeed, and Founder of its SisterMentors program. She just received an award from Ebony Magazine for making a difference for children, schools and communities. Dr. Lewis has helped 32 women of color to earn doctorates and two groups of girls of color to get into college. SisterMentors' women and girls are African Americans, Latinas, Asian Americans and immigrants. SisterMentors helps women of color doctoral candidates to complete their dissertations and get their doctorates. The women in turn, while in the program, give back by mentoring girls of color from disadvantaged backgrounds, inspiring girls to stay in school, do well and go to college. http:// www.sistermentors.org

Special Guest: For decades, Cheryl Ann Wadlington has also been a catalyst for empowering youth. She has orchestrated internship opportunities at some of the most prestigious fashion houses and publications in the world such as Gucci and BCBG Max Azria and InStyle magazine. In addition, she has developed and operated Personal Development programs for over 700 at-risk youth in more than 28 recreation centers, housing authorities and community centers throughout the tri-state (Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey) area in conjunction with government, social, civic and community-based agencies. These highly successful award- winning teen girl workshops led to the foundation of The Evoluer House in 2004. Special Guest: Taffy Anderson began her studies at the University of Pittsburgh where she received her bachelor’s degree. She went on to receive her medical degree at Georgetown University. Dr. Anderson as dedicated herself in the field of obstetrics and gynecology in several hospitals in the Philadelphia area over the past 10 years. She has also had several academic appointments at various institutions including Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine and St. Joseph Medical Center. As a breast cancer survivor Dr. Anderson continues to dedicate her time and efforts in educating women about breast cancer and early detection. She is currently a part-time gynecologist with Lehigh Valley Women's Healthcare Alliance in Allentown, PA.
